Program Objectives
Information ScienceComputer technologies, hardware and software, are one of the most essential and most frequently used technologies in our daily lives. The goal of the Undergraduate Program of Information Science is to produce graduates that have been thoroughly educated and trained to become professional computer science engineers or independent researchers. Program graduates will receive comprehensive training in information sciences, communication systems, and control technologies covering aspects related to hardware and software, in theory and in practice.

Curriculum Overview
Information Science This program offers classroom lectures that have been designed in close coordination with specific opportunities for students to practically apply the theoretical knowledge they have received in class.

Information Science  The program also provides students with research opportunities, under the supervision of qualified faculty members, in a wide range of related fields. These fields include the following:

1)  Computer systems and architecture;
2)  Fundamental hardware and software technologies;
3)  Multimedia communication;
4)  Telecommunication and communication networks;
5)  Mobile communication technologies;
6)  Processing, recognition and interaction techniques for various signals and information types (images, speech);
7)  Multimedia database storage systems;
8)  Interface technologies (based on psychology and cognitive science);
9)  Brain-inspired machine learning;
10) Intelligent information processing;
11) System and control techniques for modeling, planning, designing and controlling systems.
