Gakudo Kaikan

The Gakudo Kaikan building was constructed at the Saga campus in March 2006 thanks to charitable donations from Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. and an individual that wanted to provide support for educational research activities. The basic architecture was designed by an associate professor of the Department of Architecture and Design at KIT. The facility name, Gakudo Kaikan, was coined by the famous Japanese Zen monk, Dogen (1200-1253). Gakudo refers to the passion for in-depth study and accademic achievement.
