During the five days from January 21st through 25th a seminar on the "Creation
of Environmentally Benign, Functional Fibers with High Value by Learning
Nature-Made Materials" took place at Helwan University in Helwan,
Egypt as part of the "Establishment of Collaboration Research for
Neo-Fiber Technology in Asia and Africa." This was adopted as part
of the JSPS Asia and Africa Science Platform Program.

Participating in the seminar were researchers from Korea, China, Viet Nam, Egypt and Japan.
They exchanged opinions regarding trends and future directions for the joint research that began in five countries in 2007. |
