Chiang Mai University President and Delegation Visit KIT

On April 22, 2013, a delegation from Chiang Mai University, Kingdom of Thailand, headed by President Niwes Nantachit paid a courtesy call to President Furuyama and observed ongoing research in a KIT laboratory.

In our relationship with Chiang Mai University, research collaboration in biological sciences served as a springboard and we were able to conclude an academic partnership agreement in 2005. In recent years, this relationship has grown closer through the annual collaborative workshops in architectural studies.

The Chiang Mai University delegation paid a courtesy call to President Masao Furuyama where opinions were exchanged on the best ways to proceed with academic and student exchange. The group observed Professor Mori’s Insect Biomedical Research Center laboratory and discussed how researcher exchange/ research collaboration could be accelerated in the field of the biological sciences.

We anticipate greater diversity in upcoming student and academic exchange programs and increased traffic between our two institutions.
