How to Apply

1. Special Admission for Privately-Financed International Undergraduate Students
International students who are not receiving a scholarship from the Japanese Government or from the government of their own country are categorized as “Privately-Financed International Students.” KIT offers a special admission for these students who enter to Japan with the objective of obtaining education in Japanese universities.

EXAMINATION
– “EJU” (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students)
– TOEFL
– Essay
– Interview

NOTE
– Call for application and entrance examination will be conducted in Japanese.
– See the entrance requirements for details. (Japanese only)
– JASSO EJU and TOEFL Score are required for applying.
– Lectures for undergraduate programs at KIT are conducted in Japanese.
– The first semester starts in April.

2. Entrance Examination for International Transfer Students (3rd year).
KIT offers a special admission for students who would like to be transfer into the 3rd year of our undergraduate program.

A) SELECTION ON RECOMMENDATION
Eligible for;
– Outstanding students from technical college (koto-senmon-gakko)
Selection will be based on a combination of the followings;
– Recommendation letter from the final year of school
– Report from the final year of school
– Interview

B) GENERAL EXAMINATION
Eligible for;
– Graduates from two-year college, technical college (koto-senmon-gakko) or university
– Students who completed special courses of an advanced vocational school
– Dropouts from university
Selection will be based on a combination of the followings;
– Entrance exam results
– Specialty aptitude test
– Interview

3. Japanese Government Scholarship Students (Monbukagakusho Scholarship)
The Japanese Government Scholarship provides a monthly stipend, exemption of examination, admission and tuition fees, a round-trip ticket and other benefits for international students to study in Japan. Applications should be made through the appropriate Japanese embassy or consulate, or through a university in Japan.

4. Foreign Government Sponsored Students
The Japanese Government is currently accepting, Malaysian, Saudi Arabian, UAE, Singaporean and Thai students sponsored by their home countries. For further details on applications and procedures, nationals of these countries should contact the appropriate government agency in their country.
