Chiang Mai University Courtesy Call to KIT

On October 25, 2013, a delegation from Chiang Mai University, Kingdom of Thailand, headed by Dean of the School of Engineering, Dr. Nat Vorayos, paid a courtesy call to KIT.

Our relationship with Chiang Mai University began with research collaboration in biological sciences and was followed by the conclusion of an academic partnership agreement in 2005. In recent years, this relationship has grown closer through annual collaborative architectural workshops and a courtesy call from the president of Chiang Mai University this April.

In discussions on globalization we learned that Chiang Mai University has student and researcher exchange, partnerships with institutions in surrounding countries and that they have welcomed distinguished researchers from Japan. The discussions of the morning were followed by a party in the evening at which Dean Nat Vorayos spoke to all assembled at President Furuyama’s invitational affair, “KIT International Night.” We have high expectations that this visit will lead to further development of student and academic exchange between our institutions.
