Re: Temporary closing of the University Library

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the University Library will be temporarily closed, as follows.
The below measures may change depending on future circumstances. Any changes will be announced on the University Library’s homepage.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

1. Closing period
  Monday, April 13 – Wednesday, May 6 (public holiday)

In principle, during this period the University Library cannot be used.
However, the use for research purposes by KIT graduate students is possible under the following conditions:

・Inform the Library in advance of your affiliation, name, date and time of visit, and purpose of use via your supervisor. (Contact email address: etsuran [at] jim.kit.ac.jp)
・Time of use is between 10am and 4pm on weekdays.
・Time of use is generally within 30 minutes.
・Be sure to disinfect your fingers and wear a mask.
・Refrain from entering the Library if you have symptoms of fever.

2. Returning books and journals
  A return post will be set up in front of the Library.
  The deadline for returning currently borrowed books and magazines will be extended to Wednesday, May 13.
