The new Italian Ambassador paid a Courtesy Visit to the President of KIT

 On Monday, October 25, 2021, the newly appointed ambassador of Italy to Japan, H.E. Ambassador Gianluigi Benedetti, together with the Consul General of Italy in Osaka, Mr. Marco Prencipe and the Science and Technology Attaché of the Italian Embassy, Prof. Enrico Traversa, visited KIT and met with President Morisako, Vice President Pezzotti, and Vice President Kamei.
 The ambassador, whose appointment in a post in Japan is the second in 30 years, expressed his willingness to strengthen the cooperation between Japan and Italy in science and technology and to seek collaboration that would lead to further cooperation with industry. President Morisako introduced KIT’s past collaborations with Italian universities and expressed his desire to openly discuss ways for further collaboration including possibilities of new frameworks. The two parties ended the meeting reaffirming their intention to collaborate closely moving forward.
