Regarding: Revised Border Measures

A change in COVID-19-related border measures has been announced, and the following temporary measures have been in place since December 30, 2023.

  1. All visitors entering Japan from China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) after having been there up to 7 days prior to departure, will be subject to Coronavirus testing upon entry. This also applies to all travelers entering Japan on direct flights from China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau).

  2. The only airports accepting direct passenger flights between China (including Hong Kong and Macau) and Japan, are the following four: Narita International Airport, Haneda Airport, Kansai International Airport, and Central Japan International Airport. These airlines have been requested not to increase the number of flights.
