On March 22, 2023, Rector Prof. Ha Thanh Toan of Can Tho University (CTU), Vietnam and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to President Morisako. KIT and CTU have had a close relationship since the signing of our Academic Exchange Agreement in 2002, with KIT students being dispatched to CTU every year since 2005 on educational experience programs, and 12 KIT alumni currently serving as faculty members at CTU.
　CTU is an important university in the Mekong Delta region and plays a significant role in supporting education and industry in the region. Through exchange with CTU, KIT has also contributed human resources to local universities and local governments in the Mekong Delta region. In addition, KIT faculty members have participated in smart agriculture and other projects with CTU under the JICA’s technical cooperation project, thereby indirectly contributing to solutions for some issues faced by the region.
　During the meeting, both parties confirmed a desire to maintain the good relationship we currently enjoy and discussed various possibilities for continuing to deepen the collaboration between KIT and CTU.
