On June 20, 2023, Vice President Prof. LI Wei of Donghua University (China) and her delegation visited KIT and met with Vice President Prof. KAMEI Kaeko. Donghua University is the oldest partner university of KIT, with which KIT concluded an academic exchange agreement back in 1987. Since then, the two universities have been continuously conducting student and research exchange activities, mainly in the field of textiles, based on their common textile roots.
　After touring the KIT laboratories, the delegation met with the KIT Vice President and faculty members from the textile science field to discuss future collaboration. The discussion covered the possibility of faculty exchanges to deepen their relationship as well as collaborations in fields other than textiles. The two universities reconfirmed their intent to further deepen their cooperation for new exchanges, mainly with Donghua University’s Prof. YANG Yuqiu, a KIT alumni, and KIT’s young faculty members.
