The MEXT has established the benefit system to support students who have financial difficulty in continuing their learning at university because their family budgets and/or their payments for part-time jobs became drastically decreased due to the spread of the COVID-19. Those students who meet certain requirements will be provided with the emergency benefits of 100,000 yen or 200,000 yen.
