Towards Meaningful Collaborative Learning in JoinTECH Laboratories

複雑化する世界で求められる工科系人材「TECH LEADER」とはどのような人材か。そのために求められる教育プログラムとは何か。JoinTECH Laboratoryプログラムはこれらの問いに挑戦します。
第２回となる本セミナーでは、日欧のプログラム参加学生の報告を踏まえ、国際共修の意義と課題を考えます。
The JoinTECH Laboratory Program addresses what is expected of a TECH LEADER and how we can foster TECH LEADERS.
At the second JoinTECH-Seminar, Japanese and European students will share their exchange experiences and we will discuss the significance and challenges of international co-learning.

背景・概要：

2024年度文部科学省「大学の世界展開力強化事業」の採択をうけ、本学では国際教育連携プログラム「JoinTECH Laboratory」を推進しています。今年度は5年間にわたる取り組みの折り返しにあたる年となります。
これまでの2年半の成果を踏まえ、第2回目となる「JoinTECH-Seminar 2026」を開催いたします。
本セミナーでは、プログラムに参加した日欧の学生による成果発表やポスターセッション、パネルディスカッションを通じて「国際共修の成果と今後の課題」について議論を深めます。
国際連携を通じた工科系人材育成にご関心のある皆様のご参加を、心よりお待ちしております。（※オンラインでのご参加も歓迎いたします）

Background and Content：

Selected for MEXT’s 2024 “Inter-University Exchange Project,” Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT) has completed the half of its 5-year international educational program, “JoinTECH Laboratory.”
Building upon the achievements of the past two and a half years, we are pleased to announce the second annual “JoinTECH-Seminar 2026.” The seminar will feature presentations and poster sessions by participating Japanese and European students, as well as a panel discussion addressing the outcomes and future prospects international collaborative learning.
We cordially invite everyone interested in fostering STEAM talent through international collaboration to join us. Online participation is also welcome.
Further details regarding the program will be posted on this page as soon as they are finalized. Please stay tuned for updates.

講師紹介
京都工芸繊維大学 基盤科学系 教授。研究分野は応用言語学および英語教育であり、特にデジタル学習、バーチャル交流、教育技術の活用に焦点を当て、異文化間コミュニケーションの支援と学習成果の向上を目指している。特に学生の英語力、創造性、異文化理解力、グローバルなコミュニケーション能力を高める革新的かつ包括的な教育手法の開発に力を注いでいる。また、彼女の研究では、創造性、異文化理解力、言語能力、デジタルを活用した学習環境への参加との間の関係についても探求している。
Short Bio：
Sandra Healy is a Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan. Her research is situated within applied linguistics and English language education, with a particular focus on digital learning, virtual exchange, and the use of educational technologies, to support intercultural communication and improve learning outcomes. She is committed to developing innovative, inclusive teaching approaches that enhance students’ English proficiency, creativity, intercultural awareness, and global communication skills. Her work also explores the relationships among creativity, interculturality, language proficiency, and participation in digitally mediated learning environments.
