【講演1】
Title: Artificial Intelligence for Cultural Heritage: Research and
Applications in Indonesian Batik

Abstract: This presentation introduces research activities at
Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia, with a focus on artificial
intelligence and its applications. Moreover, the presentation
introduces Indonesian Batik, its cultural significance, traditional
patterns, and the potential of generative AI for preserving and
creating textile designs. The presentation aims to explore
opportunities for interdisciplinary research and future collaboration
between Japan and Indonesia.

Speaker: Dr. Irawati Nurmala Sari (Ira) received her Ph.D. degree from
Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan, where she conducted her doctoral
research under the supervision of Associate Professor Weiwei Du. She
is currently a lecturer at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. Her
research interests include artificial intelligence, computer vision,
image processing, and generative AI. Her recent research focuses on
AI-based Indonesian Batik pattern generation and the application of
artificial intelligence to cultural heritage preservation and textile
design.

【講演2】
発表タイトル:丹後ちりめんのシミュレーションに関するアプローチと課題

要旨:丹後ちりめんは、強撚糸を用いて製織した生機を精練することで、シボと呼ばれる織物の凹凸やしなやか風合いが発現する絹織物である。しかし、精練による形状の変化が大きく、織物設計の段階で完成品の外観や風合いを予測することは容易ではない。そこで、織物事業者の試作開発を支援する目的で、生機のシミュレーションや、実際の織物の製造によるシミュレーションの補完及び織物設計と風合いの関係の分析に取り組んだ。また、販売促進を支援する観点から、画像マッピングによる外観の表現に取り組んだ。本会議ではこれまでのアプローチについて発表し、今後の課題について議論したい。

講演者：徳本 幸紘氏
2005年に京都府に入庁し、京都府織物・機械金属振興センターに配属。以来、丹後地域の織物産業の振興業務に従事。2006年、京都工芸繊維大学大学院先端ファイブロ科学専攻修士課程修了。
