Re: Extending the temporary closing of the University Library

Following the nationwide declaration of a state of emergency on April 16, based on the Act on Special Measures against the Coronavirus Disease, Kyoto Institute of Technology announced on April 20 in its “Students Laboratory Activities (3rd official communication)” the extension of the suspension of laboratory activities until June 30.
In light of this situation, we have decided to extend the temporary closing of the University Library, as follows.
The below measures may change depending on future circumstances. Any changes will be announced on the University Library’s homepage.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

1. Closing period
 Until June 30 (Tue)

2. Return date of books and journals
The deadline for returning currently borrowed books and journals is extended to July 7 (Wed)

For more details on other services during this period, check the Library’s homepage.
