Re: ALERT: Renewed Need to Follow Thorough Contagion Spread Prevention Measures

The number of new positive cases of novel coronavirus infection in Kyoto Prefecture is rapidly increasing, and 10 KIT students were reportedly infected through unmasked conversing, eating, drinking, etc. with others. Be aware that the risk of infection increases when eating and drinking because of mask removal. In particular, avoid eating and drinking for extended periods with many people in a closed setting. Be sure to wear a mask when conversing and be consistent in taking preventative measures.
In addition, during the Obon and summer vacation periods, when many people will be in contact with the elderly and others, we ask that you continue to take particular care in observing infection prevention measures. I ask that you review KIT instructions and notifications from the government, and act responsibly.
