Re: Thorough Prevention of Infectious Diseases during Winter Break

　Although regional differences are expected, the number of cases of novel coronavirus infection continues to increase, and there are concerns about the impacts of increased contact with people during the year-end and New Year holidays.
　If you will be traveling or visiting people in another town, we ask that you consider inoculating yourself with a vaccine that is effective against Omicron varients and take a COVID-19 test before and after you travel, as you may be in contact with more people, including elderly persons, at closer range than usual. During the winter break (from December 24, 2011 to January 12, 2023), you can be tested free of charge at more than 13,000 testing sites nationwide.
　In addition, since people tend to keep their windows closed during the winter, we ask that as you continue to take infection preventative measures, you also balance regular window opening to maintain sufficient ventilation with keeping an eye on indoor temperatures.
