2026年1月21日、森田辰郎 副学長・工芸科学研究科長および材料化学系 エリア・マリン 准教授が、ウーディネ大学（Università degli Studi di Udine, UniUD）を公式訪問しました。訪問に際して、本学の機械工学分野では初となる、修士レベルのダブル・ディグリー・プログラム協定が正式に締結されました。
　本プログラムは、ウーディネ大学 工学・建築学部の「持続可能なものづくり産業工学コース（Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing）」との協働により、2026年4月から開始されます。
　このたびの協定締結は、JoinTECH Laboratory プログラムを通じて実現した大きな成果であり、両大学間の学術交流をさらに強化するとともに、学生が国際的な教育・研究に参加する新たな機会を創出するものです。

On January 21, 2026, representatives from KIT, including the Vice President and Dean, Prof. MORITA Tatsuro, and Assoc. Prof. Elia MARIN, paid an official visit to the Università degli Studi di Udine (University of Udine, UniUD). During the visit, they formally signed a Double Degree Agreement in Mechanical Engineering, the first agreement of its kind in this field.
This new master’s-level Double Degree program will commence in April 2026, in collaboration with UniUD’s Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture (Dipartimento Politecnico di Ingegneria e Architettura), specifically the Industrial Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing course.
This conclusion of the agreement represents a significant milestone made possible through the JoinTECH Laboratory program. It further strengthens the academic partnership between the two institutions and expands opportunities for students to engage in international education and research.
