Regarding: Revised Border Measures

COVID-19-related border measures have been amended as was announced on January 4, 2023. These new measures will be implemented on and after January 8, 2023. As the following temporary measures will be taken, we ask that you read the information below and take appropriate action.

  1. Passengers entering Japan on direct passenger flights from China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau) will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test certificate from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure.

  2. Regarding direct passenger flights from Hong Kong and Macau to Japan, measures were taken on December 27, 2022 to limit arrival airports to four: Narita International Airport, Haneda Airport, Kansai International Airport, and Chubu International Airport. Other airports will be permitted to accept similar flights from upon approval of their quarantine system, etc. Airlines are being requested not to increase the number of flights beyond a certain level due to quarantine system and other limitations.
